Beautiful Baby!

Kourtney got her pictures taken last week and they turned out ADORABLE!! She was such a good girl I had a hard time choosing pictures to print. This is not even half of her cute pictures. Thanks to my mom for making her BEAUTIFUL blessing dress! I wish she could wear it every day!

Labor Day Fun!

I know its a little late, but this is what we did for Labor Day! Dan, Karly, and Jackson gave Maggie a bath. Maggie loved it, but I think Karly had the most fun. She kept saying "I never did this before." How sad is that! The joys of being a 3 year old.

School Lunch!

Today was Jackson's school birthday, his real birthday is tomorrow. Dan and I got to go to the school and tell his class about him. He loved that, but his favorite part was we got to eat lunch with him. He led the line to the lunchroom, he was so cool about it. Then in the lunch room he showed us what to do. I can't believe how much school lunch has changed. Plastic trays, plastic silverware, and the food, that's a whole other story. Anyway, it was so much fun. It makes me sad to see my little boy all grown up, carrying his own tray, taking care of everything himself. It has only been a week and he's already an old pro at the lunch thing, just ask him. Tomorrow is his birthday party with a few friends, he can hardly wait. I'll post pictures!

Karly's First Day of Preschool!

Karly started preschool today! She was so excited she could hardly wait. She woke up and got ready so fast she had an hour to wait, with her backpack on. When we started up the stairs to the classroom I noticed her slowing down just a little, when I opened the door she hesitated for a moment. With a little push she went inside. Once we got inside the aides in the class said hi to her and that made her a little more nervous. So we found her hook for her backpack and then headed off for her to get started with an activity. The teacher had set out some puzzles, legos, or playdough, Karly chose the playdough. I sat her down by another little girl and the aide got her some pink playdough, even better, and a roller and off to work she went. I said "I'll be back to get you later, ok" she kissed me and said "ok, see you mom!" When I picked her up she was so excited she got to cut with scissors and walk with the rings and play on the playground and have treats. She said "do I have school tomorrow?" "No, not until next Tuesday." She was very disappointed. I have to say my heart broke just a little, not that I wanted her to not like it, but I was a little sad that she didn't even miss me! Really, I am glad she did so well, I was worried. I asked the teacher if she talked at all and she said "Not really, but we'll give her some time." She loved it and honestly, so did I!! I went to walmart with just Kourtney! I might get a little lonely for someone to talk to since now I'm left with just the baby.

Kourtney !

Kourtney is now 10 1/2 weeks old! She is growing so fast. This stage is one of my many favorites! She is starting to really smile at people, and she follows with her eyes where ever you go. I have been so lucky, she sleeps 6 to 7 hours at night!! NONE of my other kids slept that long until they were 2 or even 3! I am so thankful.
I think she is a doll, but then again doesn't every mom think that about their kids?

First day of School

Today was the firs day of school! I am so happy, yet at the same time so sad. I am so used to Kamrie going to school full time and where as she doesn't talk, it is almost like time has stopped for her, but with Jackson it is a first for everything. I had a really hard time thinking that my baby boy was going to be gone all day. He was very excited! He got a new backpack from grandma Jackie for his birthday and he loves it. As if you can't tell. He loved his first day. His favorite part was two recesses and he got to eat lunch at school. He thought that was so, awesome, was his word. Very big day! Looking forward to a year with the girls only at home. Karly might start preschool next week two days a week. I will be able to get some thing done, maybe.

Summer Vacation!

We went to Bear Lake over the 24th of July and had a blast. We stayed for three days. We swam ate good food and spent time with my family. My parents, my sister Amy and her family, my brother Justin and his family, Dan's brother Mark and his family, and Amy's friend Julie and her family all went with us. We had such a good time. It seems like it is so much work to get there, but always worth it. The kids are already planning for next year. Thanks to Amy we always have a campsite, and everyone always knows what food meals they are cooking. Thanks Aim, you do a great job! After Bear Lake, Dan had decided to take the kids to Yellowstone. I was less than excited, for some reason I just couldn't get excited. I just kept thinking it's a lot of driving and new baby, and screaming kids, but all in all we had a great time. The kids did really well, only fighting the most when we stopped! Kourtney slept almost the entire time we drove, I would wake her up to feed her every four or so hours when we stopped, and then right back to sleep she'd go. Maybe that is an advantage of a newborn. She is such a good baby all the time. Kamrie could not figure out what was going on, she was just excited to get out of the car and do some walking. Thanks to her our admission into Yellowstone was FREE! Her disability pass from the fish and game ended up saving us $50. Hooray. The kids loved Bear World. I think that was all of our favorite part! The kids loved the bears and the rides, especially Kamrie. My favorite part was the NO CELL PHONE SERVICE!! What a great summer vacation.

Swimming Lessons

Jackson and Karly started swimming lessons Monday! Karly went Monday and Tuesday fine, and Wednesday she cried the entire time. Come to find out she is afraid of her teacher because he is a boy! So Jackson's teacher was kind enough to combine her class with Karly's so she would go without crying. Her poor teacher was a good sport he only has two little 3 year old girls and he said, "We can't do much because neither one will let me touch them." So he helped the boys in Jacksons class! Jackson is doing great and loves the water. Karly swims and enjoys it as long as the boy teacher doesn't look at her. Maybe she will get used to him by the end of the two weeks.

Now what?

I asked and it happened! Kourtney and I spent the weekend in the hospital. She was sick on Friday and I decided Saturday to take her to the doctor. When we got there she was running a fever of 100.6 and the doctor said because she was not even 30 days old they would admit her to the hospital to find out what is causing the fever. They would watch her for 48 hours. They did a blood work up, urine sample, and a spinal tap, to rule out anything they could. Turns out she had a urinary tract infection, which the doctor informed me can kill an infant. So they gave her two antibiotics over the 48 hour period and Monday they said everything looked normal and sent us home. So don't ever ask how much more drama you can have in your life, you just might get it.

As if.....

As if my life is not a mess already! Trying to get into a routine with a new baby, Kamrie going to summer school for three hours a day, and next swimming lessons. Yesterday, Karly decided to jump off my bed and somehow hit her ankle on the bed frame and now she can't walk. I took her to the doctor because she would not walk on it and they x-rayed the top of her foot, that is where she said it hurt, and there was no break. Well, later that night after she had calmed down enough to let me really get a look at it, I noticed a red mark on her ankle and the swelling was up there as well. So today, she still will not walk on it and her ankle is swollen and bruised, I am thinking it is probably sprained, but the doctor didn't x-ray up that high so I will have to go back to have it redone. So in the mean time, I have to carry her every where. She is my tough child, so it must really be hurting. Wish me luck.

Kourtney Ann

Here is a picture of Kourtney! This picture was taken with a phone, so it's not the best. I took her in for her two week appointment and she weighs 7lbs 6ozs. They grow so fast!

She's Here!

Kourtney Ann weighed 6lbs 15ozs and was 18 1/2 inches long. She was born June 15, 2009 at
6:52 am. She is healthy and so far such a good baby! (Keeping my fingers crossed that she continues to stay that way) Her brother and sisters love her, they can not stay away from her!
I am still waiting for my camera to work, so pictures will have to come later! Thanks to everyone for the help we have been given. It has been such a blessing!!

I am so behind!

I cannot believe May has come and gone. We only have two weeks to the day that the baby will be here. Unless, I go into labor early, not getting my hopes up. We are almost ready. I made Dan climb through the mess and get the baby clothes and blankets that I need. I still don't have the crib out so hopefully we can get it out soon.
The kids got out of school for the summer. Jackson started swimming lessons today. He told me he already knows how to swim. I said "the teacher will help you swim better." His response, "I am already the best." I had to laugh, he can't swim without a life jacket and it has only been the last year that he doesn't insist on having someone hold him up in the water. Some day it will be me reassuring him that he is good at something not the other way around. I had to think to myself, if only we could keep some of that childhood confidence and not have that wavering fear that keeps us from doing things because we might be embarrassed.
Kamrie starts summer school June 16 and I am sure she will be more than excited. She loves school and loves to be able to get out to do things. It is only for a half day. If only the other two could go with her. They would love it as well.
Well, Summer is here, hopefully we can do some fun things.

April!!

Where did it go! I haven't posted for awhile, I keep waiting for my camera to let me upload pictures, but unfortunately it isn't going to happen. Easter was a busy day for us, not only was it Easter, but it was Karly's 3rd birthday. So we decided to celebrate the night before. She wanted a princess cake. She had a blast. She got her very own pink and purple baseball bat and ball. She thought that was wonderful. She also got a baby, a baby seat, and little mermaid goggles. For some reason she loves to run around the house in swim goggles, so when Dan saw the Little Mermaid goggles he had to get them for her. She was in heaven.
We also set the date for the baby to come, June 15th, unless I am lucky enough to go sooner! We have been working on our basement to get more room for when the baby gets here. I am stressed out!! My crib, clothes, and blankets are all stuffed in the very back of the storage room and I cannot get to them. I asked Dan why he did this and he said, "Don't worry it will be done before the baby comes." Well, I would like it before the night before, so I may have to squeeze my way in and find them. I need to be prepared, he thinks I'm crazy! He says we have plenty of time, I am not so sure! Here we are in the first week of May and we are only on the texture!!
Wish me luck and hope I don't drive him crazy with my nagging!

Update!

Last Saturday we went to Disney on Ice! The kids loved it. We didn't tell them where we were going until we were in our seats waiting for the show to start. Jackson could hardly stand the suspense. He kept saying "Please, tell me our surprise." Karly loved the Little Mermaid and Tinkerbell. Kamrie loved Lilo and Stitch. I was very unsure of how Kamrie was going to react to the whole thing, but she really seemed to like it. She laughed and giggled through most of the show. I think she loved the loud music and all the lights. Jackson's favorite part was the cotton candy and the pirate ship from Peter Pan. He loved when the crocodile ate Captain Hook, such a boy!
After the show we went to the Mayan to have lunch. The kids thought they got to swim. Jackson said "Did you bring our swim suits?" I laughed and told him he didn't want to swim here because they jump off cliffs and there is not enough room to just swim around. Once we got inside, he was excited, but glad we forgot our swim suits! Karly loved the girls jumping and the boy climbing like a monkey. All in all we had a great time. I will post pictures later, as soon as I can get my camera working!

February a month for Celebrations!

February is a busy month in our family. Kamrie turned 7 on February 7th. It is hard for me to believe she is 7 years old, time flies and it is amazing how one minute they are babies and the next she is 7! Also, Dan and I celebrated our 11 year anniversary on the 13th. It has been a wonderful 11 years, but once again I am amazed at how time flies by. It does not seem like we have been married 11 years. Only I can't seem to picture my life without him. We have had a great time!
Love you Dan!

It's A Girl!!

For those who don't know, yes we are expecting baby #4!! We must be crazy! We are all very excited and can hardly wait until June. Anyway, we found out that it is going to be a sister. Yes, it is another girl. Jackson was disappointed at first, he really wanted a brother. I told him that he is special because he is the only boy in our family, out of the kids. He thought about that for a minute or two and said" I think I'll be ok." Since the ultra sound he keeps coming up to me and saying "Mom, I love you and I love that your having a sister baby." He can be such a sweet heart, when he wants to be. Karly thinks we should name her Dora, or Cinderella, or Hannah Montana! Good thing she does not get to make the final decision.

Finally!! Something new!!

Well, it has been a long time since I have updated my blog. Christmas came and went in what seemed like a blur! We had a great holiday and the kids can hardly wait for next year.
Karly recently got her ears pierced. She has been wanting earings for such a long time. She has a cousin that has her ears pierced and every time Karly sees her she would remind us that she wanted earings. So, around the first of January my mom, sister and I took Karly to get them done. I had warned her that it would hurt, but she didn't care, she wanted earings. So we got to the mall and she got to choose her earings, cute little pink flowers, and sat in the chair. While the lady was getting her ears ready mom and aunt Amy were picking earings for Karly to look at. Karly meanwhile was grinning just like she is in this picture. The ladies did the ears and she sat stunned for a second and then began to cry. I looked at the lady and asked if she had a mirror, she looked at me kind of funny. She gave me a mirror and as soon as Karly took one look at her ears she stopped crying and was loving how pretty her new earings made her. She didn't cry again! She is such a girl! She took a pink purse to the mall and I figured it would be in the stroller soon after we got walking, but she insisted on holding it the entire time. She loves her new earings. Thanks for the support mom and Amy!
