Swimming Lessons
Jackson and Karly started swimming lessons Monday! Karly went Monday and Tuesday fine, and Wednesday she cried the entire time. Come to find out she is afraid of her teacher because he is a boy! So Jackson's teacher was kind enough to combine her class with Karly's so she would go without crying. Her poor teacher was a good sport he only has two little 3 year old girls and he said, "We can't do much because neither one will let me touch them." So he helped the boys in Jacksons class! Jackson is doing great and loves the water. Karly swims and enjoys it as long as the boy teacher doesn't look at her. Maybe she will get used to him by the end of the two weeks.
Now what?
I asked and it happened! Kourtney and I spent the weekend in the hospital. She was sick on Friday and I decided Saturday to take her to the doctor. When we got there she was running a fever of 100.6 and the doctor said because she was not even 30 days old they would admit her to the hospital to find out what is causing the fever. They would watch her for 48 hours. They did a blood work up, urine sample, and a spinal tap, to rule out anything they could. Turns out she had a urinary tract infection, which the doctor informed me can kill an infant. So they gave her two antibiotics over the 48 hour period and Monday they said everything looked normal and sent us home. So don't ever ask how much more drama you can have in your life, you just might get it.

As if.....
As if my life is not a mess already! Trying to get into a routine with a new baby, Kamrie going to summer school for three hours a day, and next swimming lessons. Yesterday, Karly decided to jump off my bed and somehow hit her ankle on the bed frame and now she can't walk. I took her to the doctor because she would not walk on it and they x-rayed the top of her foot, that is where she said it hurt, and there was no break. Well, later that night after she had calmed down enough to let me really get a look at it, I noticed a red mark on her ankle and the swelling was up there as well. So today, she still will not walk on it and her ankle is swollen and bruised, I am thinking it is probably sprained, but the doctor didn't x-ray up that high so I will have to go back to have it redone. So in the mean time, I have to carry her every where. She is my tough child, so it must really be hurting. Wish me luck.
